With the weather in the 100+ range we enjoy the drinking, BBQ and relaxing in the gazebo with our feet covered in water) Big River borders Parker however we are separated from the strip by a dam (HeadgGate dam). The traffic is about 10% of the Parker Strip, smooth skiing and boarding is almost always available. NOTE: Water fluctuates hourly and we recommended jet drives & outboards. We personally have used V-drives and IO's with no issues but we don't recommend those type drives. We strive to keep this family guest house immaculate and well maintained unlike so many river rentals. Please take a few minutes to review our listing, it is a magnificent riverfront home. Our home is perfect for families or smaller groups to create memories that last a lifetime. Sunbathe on the sandy beach or launch your boat/toys directly on site. Since our beach is gently sloped, sandy, free of river rock and it has retaining walls on both sides to slow the current it is superior to play, swim, anchor your boat and enjoy cooling off in the river when it is exceedingly hot. Guests tend to gather in the water, cool off, swim, play and enjoy children or adult beverages depending on age. Anchor your boat and toys directly in front of the home easily. Our 13 and 16 yr. old girls launch and anchor toys by themselves. This years heavy rains should provide the highest water levels in many years. Big River borders Parker however we are separated from the strip by a dam. The traffic is about 10% of the Parker Strip, smooth skiing and boarding is almost always available. We strive to keep this family home immaculate and well maintained unlike so many river rentals. The home offers way too much to list but some examples are 2 oversized Air conditioners, on the hottest of days, we have cooled the home over 50 degrees. Another example is we installed a custom foot washer so the floors and bedding are not covered in sand. *** Please note: There are no lifeguards, the safety and well being of your guests and/or children is your responsibility at all times.. Up to 6 adults and 4 children will enjoy panoramic views from inside this luxurious home with a large entertainment area and a gorgeous, well equipped kitchen. The Master King Size Bed with Pillow Topper faces the River, roll up the blinds and enjoy the view of the river flowing by while you enjoy a cup of coffee. Our home is perfect for 3 families, 6 adults and four children (our absolute maximum) offer both a large great room to gather and the good sized bedrooms offer excellent privacy. Each room has a private bathroom, unique walk in showers and a TV. The home has no steps or shower pans so those who need a wheelchair or walker are thankful.. The 1100 sf. great room has a 60 inch HDTV, a DVR and WI FI are included. If, in the unlikely event you do experience a problem, let us know and we do everything possible to help.. A nice BBQ is just outside the door (we even supply the grilling tools). Your Cars, boats, Jet Skis and off road vehicles will be safe and secure in this fenced/gated and lockable property of over 3/4 acres. The property is fully fenced, if you choose to lock the gate, just bring your own padlock. We have plenty of parking, trailers (Absolutely NO RV's), cars, trailers with your toys are no problem. We have a jumbo fire pit, it is great if it is not mid summer. Wood is available in town but feel free to bring your own. As a lifelong River Rats and 35 years experience of custom home building/ remodeling, we used both experiences to build a Super River Home. The home is well known to most in Big River and is referred to as the Wave House. Our reviews are 100% unsolicited unlike most. In addition, we have dozens of messages and emails complimenting our home. VRBO and other similar sites have programs, automatic pricing, average prices, pinpoints with average costs, etc. Most vacation sites have automated pricing and booking systems. I have seen my home advertised from $89.00 per night to $6,400.00 per night. I strongly recommend getting it directly from the owner in writing, it can seem confusing and at times deceptive. We researched almost all listings in the area. To our knowledge there are currently no homes available with amenities comparable to ours at any price. Divided by 3 families, I have seen our home rent for rates comparable to local hotels for the same number of guests. We understand a vacation can be a substantial investment, our home is not for everyone and we completely understand. Conversely, divided by 6 or 10 people it is a minor difference to stay in style and comfort. Due to allergies we cannot accept pets of any kind, we will not consider more than 6 adults and 4 children. The cabin was built on 2.5 acres, approx 1 mile from the Western Gate to Joshua Tree National Park. It was built with a ton of good vibes and help from friends. It's a simple place, open concept with a large kitchen dinning area, a large bathroom and huge loft sleeping room. The kitchen offers a double sink, tons of counter space, hot pad, bar area, refrigerator and picnic table for wonderful group meals (feel free to move it outside as well). The cabin offer both heating and AC with a EUR style wall mount unit which is more than enough to keep the cabin very comfortable.There is Internet and Wifi as well as cell service at the property. The upstairs offers a large loft for additional sleeping that can hold 6 folks without an issue. There is a queen Futon bed along with 6 sleeping pads for your use and a single futon bed down stairs. You will need to bring your own outdoor chairs, sleeping bags, pads, pillows and personal towels. Depending on your preference and weather you can cook in, BBQ outside or restaurants are a couple miles away. Pets: We love pets and have our own. Please remember that we share this wonderful area with other animals. Please show respect to the local wildlife and keep your dogs close at hand.
